HANCOCK — The Hancock School Board at the regular December meeting on Monday, unanimously approved the superintendent contract between the School District and Chris Salani, who was hired to the permanent position at a Nov. 13 special meeting.

During that meeting, Salani was interviewed for the position and had been directed to present a 15-minute slide presentation on his vision for his first 180 days in that position. He was then asked several questions by the Board members.

At the conclusion of the interviews process, Board President Catherine Jordan recommended to approve entering into contract negotiations with Salani. Moved by Trustee Wendy Chynoweth and seconded by Michael Lancour, the vote was approved by all member present. Trustee Charlie Klein was absent during the meeting.
