Village Days & Music Festival is Saturday
ESCANABA — Village Days & Music Festival, a free event hosted by the U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Association, will take place Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Antique Village on the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
The event will feature demonstrations of weaving, blacksmithing, spinning rope making, corn shelling, shingle making, as well as old-time games.
Musical performances will take place from noon to 4 p.m. The day’s lineup includes Hannah and Lydia Johnson (bluegrass), Wild Prairie (alternative country), Jim Finlan (folk and flute music), Granny Fox & The Farmhands (old-time music), and Jewel Nord (lyrical dance).
The Village shops, agricultural museum, railroad museum and the Cook Shack will also be open throughout the event.
