ESCANABA– As more and more gets added to the agenda, the members of the U.P. Trappers Association (who are hosting this event) are getting more and more excited. Special Guests include the cast from the Last Alaskans and Marty Meierotto from Mountain Men, and they will be ready to chat with convention goers. 18 “how to” demonstrations by women (and men) trappers at the She Side area, 24 “how to” demos by both men and women trappers at the main demo area, and at a huge building (set up just to entertain kids; called Kids Cave). At the “Cave” there will be 3 “how to” seminars by adults (experienced in training kids) and 3 demos by experienced young trappers teaching other kids! And a building full of things for kids to see, do, and build. The U.P. Trappers are expecting thousands of trappers and other outdoorsmen and women from all over the country and beyond to attend, bringing their families with them.

With over 100 inside vendors and probably as many outside vendors, the amount of trapping and other outdoor supplies is hard to imagine. And the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan is a premier vacation destination.
