MARQUETTE -- The Huron Mountain Club Gallery, located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library, is displaying a variety of artwork that is available through a bucket auction, with five pieces reserved for live auction only at 5 p.m. April 27.
Proceeds from the sale of this artwork will be used to support the ongoing Mining Journal Digitization project, which was initiated through the contributions of Russ Magnaghi and Diane Kordich.
The project requires additional funding to continue the digitization process and ensure the collection's long-term preservation and maintenance.
All artwork made available for this auction was donated explicitly for this purpose, and no library art is being sold.
Donors include: Holly Aldrich, Dianne Patrick, Mark Mitchell, Jay Stewart, David Vore and Kordich.
Refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of Peter White Public Library.
