Community drive-thru flu shot clinic set in Delta County

ESCANABA — Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties will be holding its annual community drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, September 17.

The clinic will be held in the Public Health parking lot at 2920 College Ave., Escanaba, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a fee for the flu shot.

Also available this year is high dose flu vaccine, also for a fee. Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Michigan and most private insurance can be billed.

Public Health continues to recognize the need to offer a drive-thru service to those who have difficulty walking. Limited mobility is not a requirement to attend the drive-thru clinic, and all individuals are welcome to attend.

No appointments are necessary, but people are asked to come during the designated time period according to the first letter of their last name to help prevent traffic backup:

A-D – 9 to 10 a.m., E-K – 10 to 11 a.m., L-Q – 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., R-Z – 12 to 1 p.m.

An additional lane will be added to reduce wait times.

For the safety of Public Health staff, participants are asked to please leave their pets at home.
