Munising’s Legion Craft Fair coming up in October

MUNISING — As the holiday season approaches, the list of loved ones in need of gifts grows and ideas can sometimes go flat. Be original and trendy this year and pledge to buy local and handmade.

Why buy handmade this season? When you buy handmade you can be sure that your gift is made with love. You are supporting local artisans, and your local economy and community.

Your gifts are unique, making everyone ask, “Where can I get one?” Find the perfect handmade gift for your loved ones at the American Legion Annual Crafts Fair on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fair being held at Munising’s American Legion Post #131 on M-28 West will feature crafters from Delta, Marquette, Schoolcraft and Alger counties.

A fun day of shopping, this inside event is a great way to support your local crafters. They will be selling Fall and Christmas decorations for your home or garden, paintings, quilts, towels, scrubbies, jewelry, wood carvings, knitted, crochet, and sewn items, soaps, toys, and baked goods. With all that is offered, you are sure to find the perfect holiday gift or stocking stuffer for everyone on your list.

The annual craft fair is an American Legion fundraiser for the Annual Alger County Children’s Christmas Party, which is open to all children who live in Alger County, and will be held on Dec. 4 from noon to 2 p.m.
