Peter White to show film

MARQUETTE — At 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, the Peter White Public Library will show the 2017 film “Goodbye Christopher Robin” in the library’s community room as part of its Matinee Movie series.

Bring a lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.

This biographical drama explores the relationship between A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin whose toys inspired the “Winnie the Pooh” children’s books. Written during the aftermath of World War I, these books bring comfort and delight to the public, but have a different effect on Milne’s family. “Goodbye Christopher Robin” won the Heartland 2017 Truly Moving Picture Award. It is rated PG and runs 1 hour 47 minutes.

There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library.
