Engagement: Soper-Flinn
GWINN — Jessie Flinn of Gwinn announces the engagement of her son, Erik Douglas-Lee Flinn of Lansing to Ellie Marie Soper, also of Lansing.
Erik also is the son of James Flinn of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Ellie is the daughter of Julie LaVigne of Norway, Michigan, and Charlie Tatrow of Garden.
The bride-to-be graduated from Escanaba High School in 2014. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in 2018 and a masters from NMU in 2021. She is employed by Auto-Owners in Lansing.
The groom-to-be graduated from Gwinn High School in 2014. He earned a bachelors degree from NMU in 2018 and masters degree from NMU in 2021. Erik is attending Michigan State University for his PhD and is employed as a grad student there.
The couple will wed June 3 in Lansing.
