MARQUETTE — Kathy Houle of Marquette announces the marriage of her son Michael Gary Houle to Sophia Noelle Grimm. Sophia and Michael were married at Trillium Lake/Mount Hood on Nov. 12, 2022.

Sophia is the daughter of John W. and Heather Nichols Grimm of Corvallis, Oregon. She received her bachelor’s of science degree in public health from Oregon State University and her master’s degree in adult education and public administration from the University of Wyoming. She is a senior consultant at Deloitte.

Michael is the son of Kathy and the late Gary Houle. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology specializing in strength and conditioning from Michigan State University. He also graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he received a bachelor’s of science degree in human biology, a master’s degree in sports medicine, and a doctorate of chiropractic degree. He currently practices at Move Better Chiropractic in Portland.

Michael and Sophia live in Portland. They plan to host receptions in Oregon in June and in Michigan in July.
