MARQUETTE -- Marquette natives Steve and Renee Johnson's 50th wedding anniversary was Dec. 4. They celebrated it by sponsoring a dance and music festival earlier this year.
Steve and Renee are very active with their church, dances, music, festival, horses, dogs, recreational vehicle traveling (through most of the United States) as well as working in their large home and lanscaped acres.
They love to get out of their comfort zones by traveling the world -- Europe, The Holy Lands, Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
They prefer to go simple and use treehouses, beaches, riverboats, and even the Wadi Rum desert to sleep in. Or maybe tents on a safari in Africa, living with the locals and their customs.
They enjoy cherishing wonderful memories.
They have two boys, four grandkids and are the proud sponsors of the nonprofit Unbound.
