I used to live on Baraga Street. When we lived there we had neighbors that lived two houses away from us and they were really nice. Their names are Renee and Ron Wicklund. They have three kids and four grandchildren. Renee is a long-standing member of the Sunshine Girls, a band full of bright colors and happy feelings that often sing together at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans. For kids ages 4 through 17, about 8 percent had recently done yoga, up from 3 percent. For meditation, it was about 6 percent, similar to ...

Voting begins Monday and will run for a week in Connecticut’s Kid Governor contest.
The civics program created by the Connecticut Democracy Center invites schools across the state to nominate candidates, who then design campaign materials focusing on a community issue important to them.
