Harvest Fest at Van Riper

Loralei Maki, 11, of Marquette poses for a photo with her cat face paint on Saturday at Van Riper State Park’s Harvest Fest in Champion. The campground will be holding its annual Harvest Fest for the next two weekends of September. Although the trick-or-treating, costume contest and the Haunted Trail aren’t a part of this year’s festivities due to COVID-19, the park wanted to make sure the tradition was kept alive. For more information on the event or for availability, call the park at 906-339-4461. (Journal photo by Justin Marietti)
