NEGAUNEE — No Valentines Day theater experience would be complete without wine and roses and dinner for two, so the Vista Theater in Negaunee is partnering with two Iron Street businesses to to create Valentine’s Day perfection.

On Friday and Saturday, Tino’s and Jackson’s Pit will be offering “dinner for two” specials, timed perfectly with the Vista’s “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” cabaret event.

Theater goers can expect songs of love and loss from musicals like “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Oliver,” “West Side Story,” and “Hairspray.”

Cabaret director Eliisa Gladwell said the performances promise a memorable night out whether you are bringing a sweetheart or just planning a night out with friends.

“This show will entertain you through love and heartache with some humor thrown in as well featuring some of the community’s local favorites,” Gladwell said in the news release.

Partnering with local businesses is a cornerstone of the Vista’s current and future successes, Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council Advisory Board President Nate Heffron said.

“We are proud to be partnered with Tino’s and Jackson’s Pit in this event. We are grateful to the many local businesses and organizations who have helped us along the way,” Heffron said. “The Historic Vista Theater is undergoing a transformation. We are not only trying to rehab the theater but become economic partners with businesses in Negaunee. We need to show the value that the Vista can bring to downtown Negaunee through strong partnerships and cooperation.”

“She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” performances will take place at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Vista Theater.

Tickets $15 each or $25 per couple and can be purchased in advance at www.vistatheater.org or can be purchased with dinner at Tino’s or Jackson’s Pit. Patrons who purchase their tickets at one of the participating restaurants need only show their receipt at the Vista box office. Tickets are also available at the door each evening prior to Friday and Saturday’s show. Beverages, roses and other concessions will be available before during and after the show. More information on the event can also be found on the “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not” Facebook event page.
