Range Financial Corporation and Range Bank announce board member changes

MARQUETTE — Range Financial Corporation, the holding company of Range Bank, announced the retirement of Dr. John Pillote and Anita Johns. It also announced the election of Scott Jensen and Laura Katers Reilly to its board of directors.

“Words cannot express our deep appreciation for Dr. Pillote and Anita for their leadership, guidance and support to the bank and our Board of Directors,” said Roxanne Daust, Chairman, President and CEO, Range Bank, said in a news release. “We are very grateful to them for giving their time and resources, along with being a supporter and advocate of the bank. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Range Bank’s success.”

Pillote was elected to the board in 1980 and served for 41 years as a director along with a lead director for many of those years. Johns joined the board in 1997 and served 24 years as a director. During their tenures with Range Financial Corporation, they offered “valuable guidance leading Range Bank to become one of the region’s most stable and well-known financial institutions,” officials said in the release.

“We are now fortunate to welcome Scott and Laura to our board. We look forward to leveraging their unique perspectives and insights as we plan for the future of Range Bank and continue our mission to be the bank of choice in the communities we serve,” said Daust in the release.

Jensen is the vice-president and co-owner of Guindon Moving & Storage and the vice president and co-owner of Ashley Home stores of Escanaba and Marquette. He also serves on the Agent Advisory Council of Wheaton Van Lines Corporate and is on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Movers Association.

Reilly is an attorney and shareholder of Kendricks, Bordeau, Keefe, Seavoy & Larsen, P.C., Marquette and Hancock, where her law practice includes employment & labor matters; business & municipal matters; estate planning, probate & trust matters; and real estate. In the community

, she is a Management Board Member of the U.P. Labor-Management Council, the treasurer of the Shiras Institute, a member of the Public Art Committee at Peter White Public Library, a Board Member of the Marquette County Quilters Association, and a frequent speaker for the U.P. Human Resources Association and the Northern Michigan Public Service Academy.
