Van Buren

MARQUETTE — mBank has announced the promotion of Jamie Van Buren from marketing specialist to assistant vice president, marketing officer.

Van Buren, a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, joined the mBank team in April 2015.

Over the past 5 years she has continued to grow professionally in her career and in 2019, completed the Graduate School of Banking Sales and Marketing School.

“The bank has continued to grow over the past 5 years and along with it the level of complexity and responsibilities within our marketing department,” explained Bethany Cody, mBank Vice President Marketing Manager. “Jamie has consistently demonstrated her ability to take on new challenges and take the lead on big projects. She is a valuable member of the marketing team and her promotion is much deserved.”

In addition to her role with mBank, Van Buren volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette & Alger Counties and participates as an mBank volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk and the BBBS Bowl for Kids’ Sake events.

“I am happy to be working with such a great group of bankers and work for a Community Bank that is based right here in the U.P.”, said Van Buren. “I’m excited to continue my career with mBank and continue helping the bank meet its marketing goals.”

mBank takes pride in offering opportunities for growth and advancement to those that demonstrate desire, dedication, and a passion for contributing to mBank’s success. This promotion from within the bank continues to demonstrate the opportunities for career growth mBank is able to provide. Headquartered in Manistique, Michigan, mBank serves Michigan and Northern Wisconsin with 28 branch locations.
