MARQUETTE -- Catholic Social Services of the U.P. is introducing a new member to its Child Welfare team, Alyssa Nowak.
Nowak started with CSSUP on June 16 as a foster care case manager. She graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Following graduation, Alyssa stayed in the Marquette area to work with youth in substance abuse rehabilitation at Great Lakes Recovery Center, eventually moving into their L.U.N.A. Trauma Assessment program for children and adolescents.
Alyssa later moved to the Gaylord area of northern Lower Michigan, starting her career in child welfare in February of 2019.
