I’m sure no one is surprised by this announcement, but the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards will be held virtually this year. COVID hasn’t made anything in 2020 easy and forced us to become innovative and explore other ways of fundraising and connecting with our community virtually, rather than face-to-face.

We are still seeking nominations for Business Person of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, and Organization of the Year.

Business Person of the Year is someone who goes above and beyond for not only their customers or clients, but their employees, coworkers, and community as well.

Volunteer of the Year nominees can be anyone who has given their time to the betterment of their community. They do not have to be a GINCC member.

Business of the Year nominees are those who prioritize their community and the impact they make on it. They focus on positive growth, value customer service, and are proud to do business with integrity.

Organization of the Year nominees are those who help improve the quality of life for residents of the West End of Marquette community. They can be a volunteer group, service group, nonprofit, etc.

Let’s reward those who have made positive impacts in our community! To submit a nomination, please visit the gincc.org homepage and scroll down to the nomination links. Nominations must be submitted by September 7.

The virtual event will feature silent auctions, award presentations, and an annual financial report. It will take place October 5-9, with award presentations on October 8. Help the GINCC celebrate our 10-year anniversary!
