MARQUETTE — In an effort to continue to support small businesses, the Michigan Small Business Restart Program will provide funding to local economic development organizations which will provide grants to eligible small businesses that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 pandemic and need working capital to support payroll expenses, rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses or other similar expenses that may be incurred.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation has provided a single, statewide application starting last Wednesday, at michiganbusiness.org/restart.

Applications will be taken and processed through Wednesday, Aug. 5.

No financial statements will be required. Selection will be made regionally with the MEDC announcing awards no later than Sept. 30, 2020.
