MSHS group in enviro work

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Senior High School Environmental Club has partnered with Tree-Plenish to help make its community more sustainable.

It intends to plant 240 saplings on May 13 to offset its school’s energy consumption from the past academic year.

Visit http://tpevents.org/school/3195 to see the website designed and published for the MSHS Environmental Club by Tree-Plenish.

Residents of the community can help the event now by ordering a sapling to be planted in their yard or sign up to volunteer to plant saplings on the day of the event. The order deadline is April 13.

Saplings are $5, and residents can choose between American hornbeam, red maple and sugar maple saplings.

The more residents that request saplings, the faster the students are able to reach their goal.
