Inaugural med conference set

HOUGHTON — Michigan Technological University’s Health Research Institute will host the first Upper Peninsula Medical Conference on Aug. 26-28, bringing together medical practitioners, researchers and students for a weekend of learning about health issues impacting rural communities.

Health practitioners from around the Upper Peninsula and northern Great Lakes region are invited to attend and can register by visiting www.upmedicalconference.mtu.edu/home .

Seminar topics will include digital medicine strategy, lifestyle and wellness integration, obesity, aging, vaccine efficacy and vaccine hesitancy.

Visit the UPMedCon website for a full list of seminar topics and session objectives, and to read profiles of confirmed speakers. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in networking events and activities.
