Mark Aho named to Forbes’ list of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors

MARQUETTE — Mark A. Aho, president, financial advisor, of the Mark Aho Financial Group located at 205 N. Lakeshore Blvd was among the Raymond James-affiliated advisors named to the Forbes list of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors. The list, which recognizes advisors from national, regional and independent firms, was released online April 7.

Aho, who joined Raymond James in 2013, has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. The Mark Aho Financial Group’s primary focus is advanced financial planning and investment consulting to help maximize the probability of clients achieving all the life goals important to them.

The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK® Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data, officials said. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data.

Out of approximately 34,925 nominations, more than 6,550 advisors received the award, officials said.

“This ranking is not indicative of an advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients’ experience,” organizers said in a press release. “Neither Raymond James nor any of its Financial Advisors or RIA firms pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. Raymond James is not affiliated with Forbes or SHOOK®Research, LLC.”
