MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership recently assisted LINK Learning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new location.
The Marquette office has been open for five years and has just moved to 2170 U.S. 41 West in Marquette.
“Blending brick and mortar with virtual schooling, LINK Learning provides students with the opportunity to build a personalized plan with the care and support to help them succeed,” officials said in a news release. “With internships, mentoring opportunities, field trips, clubs, and other extracurricular activities, students have every opportunity to pursue the future they deserve.”
LINK Learning provides nontraditional education to help students ages 14-21 “pursue their educational objectives by giving them the resources they need in a place where they can succeed,” officials said.
“With first-class centers, one-on-one instruction, and small group teaching assistance, students are empowered to learn at their own pace with the support of a welcoming and inclusive learning environment,” the news release states. “But just because LINK Learning offers online education, doesn’t mean they are not a full-service school. Their in-person locations provide certified teachers, mentors, school social workers and English language learner support available to all students. They even offer 504 plans and IEP services for students if needed. Unlike other programs, LINK Learning allows students to work on their schoolwork when they can be most productive. They provide the flexibility for students to work around their busy schedules.”
LINK Learning has been in Michigan for over ten years and in the Upper Peninsula for over eight years.
The office can be reached at 906-273-0497.
