Range Financial Corporation and Range Bank announce board member changes
MARQUETTE — Range Financial Corporation — the holding company for Range Bank — and Range Bank announces the retirement of Janet Kuru and the appointment of Kurt Voss to both organizations’ board of directors.
Kuru retired from the board after a 55-year career with Range Financial Corporation and Range Bank. She began her career as a teller at then, the First National Bank of Calumet-Lake Linden, dedicating herself to banking.
“She took on positions of increased authority throughout her career, including President and CEO of Range Bank-Copper Country before her 2006 retirement,” officials said in a news release. “Janet was elected to the board of directors in 1988 and throughout her career as both an employee and board member, Janet offered valuable guidance and leadership, which enabled Range Bank to become one of the region’s most stable and well-known financial institutions.”
Kuru’s retirement date from the boards was effective Dec. 6, exactly 55 years after she began her career.
Recognizing Kuru’s service, Roxanne Daust, chairman, president and CEO of Range Bank said in the release: “Janet has been a dedicated member of the Range family for decades and her banking knowledge has provided invaluable counsel to the board. It has been a pleasure to work and serve with Janet and I wish her well in retirement.”
In the release, bank officials said: “As we say farewell to Janet, we welcome Kurt Voss to our Board of Directors, Kurt previously served on our Green Bay Advisory Board, making him our first director from the Green Bay region.”
Voss brings experience to the board as owner and CEO of the AmeriLux Family of Companies, which includes its value-adding distribution entity, AmeriLux International; Shape Products, with thermoforming and compression molding capabilities; AmeriLux Transportation, as asset-based transportation company; and AmeriLux Logistics, a value-adding logistics partner.
Founded in 2004, he oversees operations at the company’s corporate headquarters in De Pere, Wisconsin, where he has implemented “leading-edge practices in leadership principles, employee engagement and personnel development as well as providing customers with creative and cost-effective customized solutions,” according to the release.
Active in the greater Green Bay community, Kurt serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Norbert College, Board of Advisors for the Donald J. Schneider School of Business and Economics, Community Advisory Board for the Medical College of Wisconsin – Green Bay and Board for Partners in Education at the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce. He also is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.
