On Saturday, July 5, Black Sabbath is taking it “Back to the Beginning,” with one final show from the legendary band’s original lineup — Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — the band’s first performance in 20 years.
The all-day event will be held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. It will also feature a set to celebrate Osbourne’s solo career.
Special guests include Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and a collective of guest musicians including Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis, Mike Bordin, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Tom Morello and Wolfgang Van Halen. All profits will be donated to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
While tickets for the concert itself are sold out, the event will be streamed worldwide with an on-demand option for 48 hours after the show, which will be hosted by Jason Momoa.
Osbourne has been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2019. It has significantly impacted his physical abilities, including his ability to walk, according to Entertainment Tonight.
“Tune in to celebrate the true creators of heavy metal,” reads the website, as Osbourne takes “his final bow.”
