NEGAUNEE, MI – Donald Arthur LaForest passed away peacefully at his daughter and son-in-law's home in Ishpeming Township on September 1, 2026 after celebrating his 88th birthday one day prior.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 4th at the Negaunee Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Coast Guard Honor Team. Following services, a luncheon will be held in Immanuel Lutheran Church's Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or an American Legion Post of your choice.
