NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Board of County Road Commissioners of Marquette County, Michigan will hold a Public Hearing during their Regular Board Meeting on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marquette County Road Commission, 1610 North Second Street, Ishpeming, MI 49849.

The purpose of the public hearing is to take public comment on decertification of Depot Road from County Road 550 northeasterly to end, 460′ in T51N, R27W, section 15, Powell Township.

Interpreter services are available upon request, with a seven-day advance notice to MCRCAdmin@marqroad.org or by calling (906) 486-4491.

Minutes for the above meeting will be filed and available for public use at the Road Commission Office during normal operating hours.

Notice is hereby given that the Marquette City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the following 01-PUD-05-22 – 480 River Park Circle (PIN: 1000120): Hoponassu Oz LLC and Dave Ollila are seeking approval for a proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) for the following uses within buildings and on the parcel: live/work dwellings, hospitality/service use/indoor restaurant, light industrial, professional office/remote work, outdoor food & beverage service, child or day care center, outdoor entertainment and community events, tourism/outdoor recreation for van & RV parking/camping, tent camping, and trails to be located at 480 River Park Circle. This PUD received concept approval on May 17, 2022, and the next step in this process is for the Planning Commission to hold a public hearing and conduct a preliminary site plan review and draft a recommendation to the City Commission, who will issue final approval of the PUD.

The public hearing for this request will be at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Ave. If you wish to comment on these matters you may do so at that time. Written comments may also be submitted to the Community Development Department located at 1100 Wright Street, Marquette, Michigan 49855 or e-mail alanders@marquettemi.gov. Written submissions will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. on June 6, 2023.

Materials pertaining to the request is available for review at the Community Development Department’s office at the Municipal Service Center during 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
