To the Journal editor; Audrey Kurth Cronin is a professor of security and technology and director of the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology. Her most recent article in Foreign Affair is an example of clear and unbiased thinking about how Israel should fight its current war with Hamas. To the Journal editor; On Saturday, several of my friends shared with me photos of a beautiful rainbow over Marquette. On the same day, many people also shared with me images condemning the use of the rainbow as a symbol of the LGBTQ community over it’s religious significance. To The Journal editor: We are coming into the summer season. It’s time to get outdoors and see the beauty we still have in our Upper Peninsula of Michigan. With climate change coming, most say it’s not going to be better. More storms, hotter days and our air and water may get worse. Being a resident most of my life in Marquette, what a change already. To The Journal editor: Behold! About 1.1 billion years ago, tectonic forces began to tear apart the future Great Lakes area and beyond. Rifting brought abundant volcanism and deposition of thousands of meters of basalt lava. Hydrothermal activity deposited abundant copper minerals within the void space of the basalt.
