Community colleges expect enrollment surge from COVID-19

LANSING — Thousands of coronavirus front-line workers are expected to enroll in Michigan community colleges under a new program that makes it free for them. “When you tell people the word free, it changes their behavior as the word free is very motivating,” said Michael Hansen, president of Michigan Community College Association.
