MARQUETTE — What a year it’s been for Yooper Shirts. They opened a new retail shop in Downtown Marquette — located at 503 N. Third St. — on May 26, 2017. The production continues in the Gossard Building location in Ishpeming.

The warm welcoming they have received from their new neighbors on the Third Street has been tremendous. Yooper Shirts expanded their crew in both Marquette and Ishpeming this year with new retail and production employees and a graphic designer. They continue to be passionate about creating modern designs inspired by the Upper Peninsula while capturing the essence of a Michiganders lifestyle.

In its continued success, Yooper Shirts was awarded the Michigan Department of Natural Resources State Park Merchandise Program contract for locations in the U.P. The contract is a five-year deal with a great opportunity to grow the Yooper Shirts and DNR brands. They are committed to raising funds for the DNR, and the proceeds will go towards: maintaining current parks, tree-planting efforts, signage, playground/overall park improvements, and advertising/promotion of the parks.

Their first project was to create unique designs for the beloved Tahquamenon Falls State Park located in Paradise, Michigan. This winter they released designs and apparel, for Blueberry Ridge. This spring, they will be focusing on Van Riper, Fayette, Fort Wilkins and Copper Harbor.

It’s a great opportunity for fans and visitors to show their love for these recreation destinations, while generating revenue for improvements and maintenance projects.

Aside from producing popular clothing, screen-printing and embroidery, Yooper Shirts also operates as a full-service graphic design company.

Yooper Shirts thrives off the idea of creating modern design solutions to give their clients a unique edge against the competition. Whether designing for a corporate marketing campaign, branding, wedding invitations or even a band poster, they work with each and every client, so that they achieve quality designs at an affordable price.

As a screen printing company, they are able to customize hoodies, t-shirts, long sleeves, sports and work uniforms, polos, bags, koozies, hats, jackets, and much more. They also offer a heat transfer process where durable material is used for single names and sports numbers often found on athletic jerseys and shirts.

Yooper Shirts handles large and small orders but asks for a 8-piece minimum at least.

Northern Michigan University, Marquette Area Public Schools, Eagle Mine, UP Health System-Marquette, Goodwill,  Sacred Tattoo Studio and the Michigan Ice Fest are among the long list of clients Yooper Shirts provides for.
