MARQUETTE — Amber Rae Suggitt, who was charged with multiple felonies following an alleged domestic assault involving a firearm in February 2017, has entered a plea agreement.

Suggitt, 33, was initially charged with assault with intent to murder; torture; kidnapping; home invasion first degree; criminal sexual conduct — assault with intent to commit sexual penetration; assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation; and six counts of felony firearms, according to court documents.

In her plea agreement, Suggitt pleaded no contest to one count of kidnapping, a felony punishable by life or any term of years; one count of torture, also a felony punishable by life or any term of years; and one count of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual penetration, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The prosecutor has agreed to dismissal of all other counts pending in the file and not to bring any other charges arising out of this criminal incident, according to court documents.

Suggitt will be sentenced at 11 a.m. July 25 in 25th Circuit Court.

She had previously been set to face a jury trial on June 7. Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi declared Suggitt competent to stand trial in a hearing held Thursday.
