MARQUETTE — The athletic department at Northern Michigan University is partnering with the YMCA of Marquette Country to continue the successful tradition of youth competitive swimming in the area.

Youth swimmers can sign up for the Wildcat Aquatic Club through the NMU Recreational Sports website starting in May.

This club will be a dual-affiliated club through the YMCA swim program and USA Swimming. With the help of the YMCA, youth swimmers can compete in meets in the Upper Peninsula, Wisconsin and at YMCA national meets.

NMU and the YMCA plan for this partnership to insure the success of youth swimming in the Marquette-area community.

Online sign-up for the club will be available at the NMU Recreational Sports website in the near future.
