NMU’s Mylie takes 14th place in triple jump at NCAA Championships

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ine Mylie has had an outstanding career competing for the Northern Michigan University track and field team and she closed out it out Friday with a 14th place finish in the triple jump at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships Friday.
Mylie cleared 39 feet, 0.5 inches on her first jump, which put her in 10th place, but only jumped 38-10.5 on her second attempt.
The senior is in the Wildcats’ top 10 with nine combined indoor and outdoor events and is an eight-time all-region triple jumper. Mylie also made the All-GLIAC team six times and earned two conference titles in the triple jump.
Fellow NMU senior Kameron Burmeister will compete in the 5,000-meter run at 6:35 pm. tonight. She was an All-American honoree Thursday after finishing ninth in the 10,000 run.
