Dunmire, Guthrie pace NMU

PERRY PARK, Kentucky – The Northern Michigan University women’s golf team finished 25th with a three-round score of 1,088 at the weather-delayed Perry Park Spring Fling that wrapped up Sunday afternoon.

Baylee Dunmire led the Wildcats in 105th place by totaling 259 on rounds of 89, 87 and 83.

Teammate Karissa Guthrie was a stroke back at 260 (87-87-86), tied for 111th, while Lillian Torres came in tied for 141st with 281 (97-94-90) and Alyce Krumm was 146th with 288 (103-93-92).

Grand Valley State shot 896 (303-295-298) to win the team title by 11 strokes over Indianapolis. Indy’s Brooke Beegle shot 218 (73-70-75) to win the individual title.

Northern returns to action at a meet hosted by Ohio Dominican in Blacklick, Ohio, that starts on Sunday, April 3.
