Schedule set

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University head coach Matt Granstrand recently announced completion of his women’s soccer team schedule for the upcoming fall season.

NMU will host seven home games at the NMU Soccer Field, including a nonconference tilt against Bemidji State of Minnesota.

The Wildcats open on the road Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-6, in Minnesota traveling to St. Cloud State and Winona State. Kickoff against SCSU is set for 5 p.m. Friday while NMU faces off against WSU at noon Sunday.

NMU opens its home season just a few days later, hosting Bemidji State in a midweek outing at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The Wildcats return to the road to wrap up nonconference action on Sept. 13, traveling to Minnesota-Duluth for a 1 p.m. matchup.

NMU opens GLIAC play at home against Ashland at noon on Saturday, Sept. 20, before traveling to Ohio to play Ohio Dominican on Sept. 25 and Walsh on Sept. 27.

The Wildcats return to Marquette for a two-game homestand to begin October, facing Malone at 4 p.m. on Oct. 2 Lake Erie at noon Oct. 4.

The Wildcats then begin their final road swing consisting of four games at Findlay on Oct. 9, Tiffin on Oct. 11, Ferris State on Oct. 17 and Grand Valley State on Oct. 18.

NMU wraps up its season with a three games at home, hosting Saginaw Valley State at 4 p.m. on Oct. 23, Northwood at noon Oct. 25 and Michigan Tech at noon Saturday, Oct. 31.
