NMU inks swim recruits

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University swimming and diving coach Heidi Voigt has announced the signing of four student-athletes to national letters of intent to swim for the Wildcats beginning next season.

Voigt signed Emily Bell of London, England, Cameron Darling of Glen Allen, Virginia, Sara Fourcault of Whitewater, Wisconsin, and Sarah McNair of Richardson, Texas.

Bell is a butterfly specialist from Mill Hill County School.

“Emily will compete in the butterfly for us, but will also be able to contribute in other events such as the breaststroke, individual medley and relays,” Voigt said.

Darling is a diver from Deep Run High School.

“Having Cami on the boards for the Wildcats will bring much needed depth to our diving squad,” Voigt said.

McNair is a distance specialist slated to compete in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle races. She is from JJ Pearce High School.

“It’s great to have someone who truly enjoys those long, grueling races,” Voigt said.

Foucault competes in the individual medley and butterfly. She attends Whitewater High School.
