Wildcat swimmers hold 2nd at invite

GRAND RAPIDS – The Northern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team finished in second place after the second day of the Calvin Winter Invitational Friday.
The Wildcats have earned 456 points so far and are chasing fellow GLIAC member Grand Valley State (585.5).
NMU won two events with senior Madisen Sechenca setting a Wildcats record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.82) and Rachel Borchardt taking first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.55).
The Wildcats also took second place in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 50-yard freestyle, the 400-yard individual medley and the 1-meter diving competition.
The meet will finish today starting at 10 a.m.
