Sentinels wrestlers go 5-0 to win Westwood Super Duals

ISHPEMING — The Marquette Senior High School wrestling team won all five of its matches to capture the championship at the Westwood Super Duals on Saturday.

In this series of dual matches, the Sentinels defeated the host Patriots, Gwinn, Negaunee, North Central and Bark River-Harris without suffering a setback.

Four MSHS wrestlers posted perfect 5-0 records — Connor D’Ambrosio, who had five pins; Trent Sadler, three pins and a technical fall; Beepsee Teeple, two pins and a tech fall; and Antanie Villarello, two pins.

Teammate Ty Sadler posted a 4-0 record with a pair of pins, too.

Now with a 7-0 team record, Marquette looks to build on that with a dual meet against Norway at the school’s auxiliary gym at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Sentinels are also scheduled to participate in a quadrangular at Iron Mountain on Thursday.
