NEW YORK — A pair of Greco-Roman wrestlers from Northern Michigan University were among the five Americans to win gold medals at the senior-level Bill Farrell Memorial International meet held in New York on Friday and Saturday.

Amryn Nutter and freshman Kenneth Crosby of NMU were champions, the first time since 2018 that multiple Northern wrestlers at this event were crowned as titlists.

In his first senior-level event, Nutter won a gold medal at 67 kilograms (147.7 pounds) with an 8-0 tech fall over fellow American Noah Rice in the finals. Nutter won all four of his bouts, three coming by tech fall and the other in a decision.

Crosby, an Under-23 World Team member this year, clinched his gold at 55 kg (121.25 lbs.) by tech fall, defeating Marat Garipov of Brazil 11-1.

Also from the NMU National Training Site, Charlie McKune finished fourth and Maddox Khalimsky and Henry Baronowski each in fifth.
