SAULT STE. MARIE — The Soo Indians Midget AAA youth hockey team will hold a spring skate on April 15 and 16 at the Big Bear Arena in Sault Ste. Marie.

Players who were born in 2005, 2006 or 2007 may apply for the skate on the team’s website, http://www.sooindiansaaa.com/.

The sessions are scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. on the first day and 9-11 a.m. on the second day, with a cost of $25.

The team notes that it is the only Tier I AAA team in the northern part of Michigan.

One area player shown on the team’s website, defenseman Brayden Grange of Marquette, has played for the Soo Indians and is now moving on to the North Iowa Bulls of the North American Hockey League.

Another Marquette player, Drew Dellies, is among several on the team who are continuing their current season with the Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
