ESCANABA — Bay College announced recently that ticket sales have opened for home volleyball and basketball games for their upcoming seasons.

The Norse volleyball team plays for the first time this fall. After opening on the road, Bay’s all-time home opener is in a triangular with Hibbing and Alpena community colleges on Saturday, Aug. 27.

The Norse play 10 home matches this season, with conference play at home starting Sept. 16 vs. Grand Rapids CC and the final regular-season home match against Finlandia on Oct. 25.

Bay’s basketball teams have expanded home schedules this fall and winter — 15 dates for the women and 14 for the men. The Norse also host three “classic” tournaments.

The season opens with a home tourney on Nov. 4-5, with another on Nov. 11-12. There’s also Bay’s annual Holiday Classic on Dec. 16-17 before their first-ever conference schedule begins at home on Jan. 18 when Bay hosts North Central Michigan. The regular season and conference home schedule wraps up Feb. 28 vs. Mid Michigan College.
