NEGAUNEE — Marquette Senior High School captured both the boys and girls wins during a track meet at Negaunee Tuesday.

On the girls side, Marquette scored 119 points, with runner-up Negaunee scoring 82. Houghton was in third witih 65, Gladstone in fourth with 60 and Iron Mountain rounding out the field.

Gladstone’s Anah Larson took three individual firsts (100 hurdes, 300 low hurdles and long jump)

Williston (no first name available) from Houghton won the shot put and the discus while Baux Truckey won two events as an individual, the 100 dash and the 200 dash.

On the boys side Marquette was on top with 114.5 points. Gladstone took second with 109 while Negaunee scored 54, edging Houghton, which totaled 53.5. Iron Mountain rounded out the filed with 22.

Blake Servant of Gladstone won four individual events (110 high hurdles, 300 hurdles, discus, long jump) while Kameron Karp of Marquette took two individual firsts (100 dash, 200 dash).
