Michigan Tech Huskies knocked out in NCAA volleyball Midwest Regional

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — The season came to an end for the Michigan Tech volleyball team at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region tournament on Friday evening.

The No. 23 Huskies lost in the semifinals to No. 10 and former GLIAC member Hillsdale in four sets, 25-19, 22-25, 25-13, 30-28, on the campus of Lewis University.

In the long fourth and final set, there were 13 ties with Tech (24-8) having set point three times. In just that set, the Huskies’ Megan Utlak had 12 digs, while MacAulay Petersen and Olivia Ghormley combined for 13 kills.
