Greens capture Marquette Best Ball
MARQUETTE — The Greens of Texas captured the Marquette Two-Man Best Ball tournament title at the Marquette Golf Club last weekend.
Brett Green and Karsten Green of Dallas-Fort Worth shot a round of 63 on Saturday on the Heritage Course and 67 on Sunday on the Greywalls course to total 130, two strokes better than championship flight runners-up Kurt Ghiardi and Joe Negrinelli of Marquette, who had 61-71–132.
Defending champions Mike Hauswirth of Houghton and Kevin Manninen of Ishpeming finished fourth in the first flight with 69-70–139.
