Bay to host softball pitching clinic
ESCANABA — The Bay College softball team will conduct a pitching clinic for girls between ages 7 and 17 in late July on campus in Escanaba.
Norse softball team pitching coach Lesley Delvaux will head instruction, according to Bay head softball coacha Heidi Charon. Delvaux, an all-state pitcher at Escanaba High School, pitched for Michigan State University from 2004-08, ranking in the Spartans’ all-time top 10 in wins, innings, complete games, shutouts and strikeouts.
The clinic for girls ages 7-10 will be held on Wednesday, July 24, and for girls 11-17 on Thursday, July 25. Sessions each day from 4 to 7 p.m. and will be held at the Bay College field at the Wells Sports Complex.
Cost is $45 per participant and each pitcher needs to supply their own catcher. Sessions are limited to 30 participants.
