NFW wrestling at Lakeview Saturday

MARQUETTE — Professional wrestling will return to Marquette for the first time in quite a while this weekend as the National Federation of Wrestling will be holding its Melee in Marquette event Saturday at Lakeview Arena.

Doors open at 6 p.m. EDT and the first match is scheduled for 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 reserved in advance, or $12 at the door. Kids under 10 years old are $5 reserved and $8 at the door. Limited front row tickets are $15. Advanced tickets can be reserved online through the NFW’s Facebook page and concessions will be available. VIP tables are also available through the NFW Facebook page.

Seven matches are scheduled for that night, three of them being title matches. After a ladder match Friday night in Ironwood, the new Midwest champion will defend it at Lakeview. The United States champion Tiny Love will also defend his title and tag team champions The Hooligans will take on The Real Brock Hall and Michigan native Bryan Skyline.

The NFW has also issued a challenge saying that if 200 people attend the event, they will return in the future.
