Marquette County girls tandem helps 906 Fastpitch softball squad win Wisconsin title

Two Marquette County girls were members of the 14-Under 906 Fastpitch team that won the Wisconsin state championship of the North American Fastpitch Association on Sunday, July 2, 2017, in Wisconsin Dells. They are Karlie Patron, who played as a freshman on the Westwood High School team this spring, and Katelyn Lammi, who was in the eighth grade and plans to play for Negaunee High School next spring. The 906 Fastpitch team split its two games in pool play before winning four straight games for the title. Sponsored by Team Wireless, 906 Fastpitch also included six players from Escanaba, one from Gladstone and one from Rapid River. Members of the squad, in the front row from left, are C.C.
