MARQUETTE — Several tennis programs are being held in Marquette, one starting this weekend and the other in July.

A Junior Team Tennis segment for boys and girls ages 11-14 to be held on Sundays begins this weekend and runs each Sunday through July 9, except for Father’s Day, June 18.

It combines learning, practice and competition and is open to beginning and intermediate players. Participants learn fundamentals of tennis and how to serve, rally and score. Teams include four to six players per team, with match play being part of the fun.

Cost per segment is $80 and include six practices and all matches.

A Start/ReStart tennis learning program for adults runs from 6 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursdays from July 6 to Aug. 10 at the Marquette Senior High School courts.

Cost is $55 and registration is required by June 29.
