Wildcats Kids, Tween open house set

MARQUETTE – A Wildcat Kids and Tween Camp open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Wildcat Room of the Berry Event Center and put on by Northern Michigan University Recreational Sports.

The events give parents the opportunity to meet camp staff, ask questions, tour the sports complex and complete the online registration process. Light refreshments will be served.

The Wildcat Kids Camp is a traditional summer camp for children 5 years old through fifth grade. Each week includes games, crafts, swimming, skating, climbing, special events and outdoor adventures.

Cost is $145 for a five-day week from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and $35 daily.

At Wildcat Tween Camp, sixth- to eighth-graders can learn valuable life skills, make friends, develop character and discover new interests. Activities include swimming, games, crafts, outdoor adventures, a climbing wall, ice skating, kayaking in the pool and team building initiatives.

Cost of Tween Camp is $145 for a five-day week or $35 daily.

Each camp begins Monday and runs through Aug. 18. Preregistration is required online at www.nmu.edu/recreation.
