Senior trio takes golf title
MARQUETTE – George Trujillo, Geoff Weston and Garrett Leffler combined forces Thursday to take top honors in the Marquette Golf Club’s annual Senior Scramble.
The trio posted a 59 on the Greywalls course to nip the team of Jim Acocks, Mike L’Huillier and Marvin Meyers, who posted 60.
Placing third in the championship flight with a 61 were Scott Erickson, Rich Koskey and Jim Scullion.
Flight winners were:
First: Dave Jahn, Paul Schrader and Barry O’Connor, 64.
Second: Paul LeClaire, Joe Strong and Jim Tollefson, 65.
Third: Gunnar Korpinen, Dale Bayer and Jim Anderson, 66.
Fourth: Dennis Tierello, Dennis Heikkila and Gary Richards, 68.
