Bjornes defend MGC couples title
MARQUETTE – KC and Kristen Bjorne successfully defended their title by shooting 63 in the championship flight of the annual Marquette Golf Club couples scramble on Saturday.
Playing on the Greywalls course, two teams shot 65 to tie for second in the championship flight – Scott Erickson and Sue Micklow, along with Rachael and Dan Viitala.
In other flights, Joe Hiss and Cyndi Schieber shot 68 to take the first flight, Jeff and Holly Cannull 70 in the second, Vickie and John Lobeck 73 in the third, Carol and Jim Nauta 75 in the fourth, David and Barbara Rossi 78 in the fifth and Rick and Donna Heikkila 83 in the sixth.
